Examples of Our Work

For ten years, the ICC leadership served as the National Program Office for the Foundation's Urban Health Initiative, which was comprised of campaigns to improve the health and safety of children in five U.S. cities.  The ICC provided guidance and technical assistance in a number of areas, including research, management and strategic communications.  Under the guidance of the ICC, the five sites collectively leveraged more than $200 million for their programmatic strategies.

The ICC developed detailed analyses of the fiscal, political, and service delivery capabilities of candidate locations for Atlantic's Integrated Services in Schools Initiative.  Then, the ICC guided the efforts of four sites around the country and helped each develop sound investment strategies.

For this ambitious regional conservation effort the ICC provided political counsel as well as research, consensus-building, writing and video production services.  The ICC helped Cascade Agenda develop a call to action that will result in the conservation and preservation of 1.26 million acres of working forests and farms, the Cascade foothills, and sensitive areas near streams and rivers.  The Agenda also includes strategies for urban development that creates walkable, highly livable, sustainable communities.
